Rebaudioside A (Reb A) is one the steviol glycosides found in Stevia plant leaves that is responsible for the sweetness present in its leaves. It is 250 to 300 times sweeter than the normal cane sugar.

It is Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) for use as a general purpose sweetener in the U.S. so may be used in foods and beverages, excluding meat and poultry products
